The Stop To Pray Vision

Stop To Pray is a ministry of Revitalizing Churches, Inc.  Revitalizing Churches, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit ministry dedicated to helping people recapture, nurture, and sustain their passion for God.  We seek to help men and women to:

  1. Enjoy deeper intimacy with Jesus through prayer.

  2. Encounter the transforming power of God’s Word.

  3. Experience the joy that comes from sharing Jesus with those who don't yet know Him.

Why are these 3 emphases important?

  1. Enjoy

Although 90% of all Americans say they believe prayer changes things, vast prayerlessness abounds in this country.  Thus, we seek to help Christians enjoy deeper intimacy with Jesus through teaching them how to pray.

  • Our Stop To Pray Medallion has been requested by men and women from 122 nations of the world.  We have distributed 61,000+ Medallions throughout the U.S. and around the world.  The Medallion can be downloaded from our web site making it available to innumerable people.  Our team of intercessors has prayed for over 40,000 prayer requests.

  • We are also committed to praying worldwide for revival.  We have developed a seminar called: Stop To Pray With Confidence.  We seek to host an annual Stop To Pray conference.  We have created materials which help believers pray for their neighborhoods and city.

  1. Encounter

Research shows Americans are increasingly becoming biblically illiterate.

Cal Thomas, a well-known Christian author whose syndicated column appears in such newspapers as the Los Angeles Times, reports that:

“While more than 90% of U.S. households keep at least 3 copies of the Bible .  .  . two-thirds of them do not regularly read them.”

  • This is why we offer classes, small groups, and other training events to help Christians encounter the transforming power of God’s Word.

  • We have developed several 12-week courses to teach biblical truth: The Bible and Roman Catholicism; Sharing Jesus Friend to Friend; Genesis 1-11:Scientific Evidence for Creation and the Flood; Praying With Confidence; Men in the Word; Revelation, etc.

  1. Experience

The United States has become the 3rd largest mission field in the world. It is urgent that we share the Gospel with others and train Christians with skills to assist them in sharing the Gospel.  Forty-one percent (41%) of those attending church today are not Christians (Barna Research).

  • In over 25 years we have lived in Arizona, we have had the opportunity to lead many people to Christ.  Sara speaks regularly for Christian Women’s Clubs.  She has been invited to speak to women in California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Ohio.  Together we have led Bible studies and have also seen many come to Christ through these informal settings.

What a privilege to serve the Lord in these 3 crucial areas of ministry!
